A clean, privacy-focused messenger that puts you back in control of your communication.
Mimir uses an overlay network called Yggdrasil, which connects devices in a common network. Any Mimir node can connect to any open Yggdrasil node and communicate with other Mimir nodes — it's that simple!
So, what can you expect from Mimir right now?
Text messages, pictures, and audio calls with impeccable sound quality!
All of this happens without any corporation or even small company involvement — and even without a registration process! Yikes!
Mimir focuses on decentralization and security, using P2P connections within the Yggdrasil Network. All communication is end-to-end encrypted from node to node, ensuring only you and your recipients can read it. It leverages the modern cryptographic protocols of the underlying Yggdrasil nodes and provides a lightweight Android client for smooth everyday usage.
Although P2P networks can seem heavy on battery and resources, Mimir only maintains a single TCP connection with one Yggdrasil node from an outside perspective. That's all!
One of Mimir’s strong points is censorship circumvention: you can connect to any of hundreds of available nodes, host your own, or even build a private network. Freedom is literally in your hands.

Right now, development is moving so fast that I can't rely on slow publishing systems.
So, you'll get only an APK for now.
